As my writing career grew arms, legs, and what felt like tentacles, I came to realise that I just couldn’t do it all by myself. I was managing my website, doing all my own advertising and marketing, running social media, liaising with translators, and constantly trying to learn new skills as the environment around me perpetually changed and evolved.
But in trying to find good help, I discovered very little existed. They all wanted to charge silly amounts to provide a packaged service that didn’t really do what I wanted.
So I found people with no knowledge of the industry and trained them myself.
Now I offer them to you in the manner in which I know you want them: a pay for what you want service you can dip in an out of as required.
When Amazon announced that indies could put their eBooks into the US library system in 2025, my team were fast to learn the process. Do you really want to teach yourself when you can pay someone else to do it for an hourly rate?
To translate a series into multiple languages on Scribeshadow and then format all the manuscripts is a job anyone can do, but it sure is time consuming. Let my team do it for you at a rate so low it’s hard to believe we make a profit.
And that’s because we don’t. Not really.
There is a small management fee applied to the rate we pay the team to perform the work. It reflects the fact that I must put down whatever book I am writing to manage the accounts, have team meetings, and make sure you are getting what you need more swiftly than you expect it.
That’s how we work.

Since 2021 I’ve been working in the indie author industry alongside multiple seven figure author Steve Higgs. After having my first child and finding that affordable childcare simply wasn’t an option, I stepped away from my career in accounts and looked for a role that offered the flexibility I needed as a new mum. Steve happened to be looking for an admin assistant at the time, and that opportunity became the start of an entirely new chapter.

What began with managing his Facebook page quickly grew into a wider, more dynamic role. As my responsibilities expanded, so did the vision for what my support could offer other authors—and from that, the Author Helper Agency was born. Now I manage a diverse team that has the skills you require to take your author career to the next level

I’m passionate about delivering a bespoke, reliable, and genuinely supportive service to indie authors. I understand that your creative energy belongs in your writing, not in the endless admin tasks that can drain your time and focus. My goal is to take that noise away so you can stay immersed in the work you love.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me chasing after my two children at the local park or unwinding with a chilled glass of rosé in our village pub.
